About the Program

The Social Craft Group is an 8-week supported program for adults with disabilities (and their carer). Sessions run for 2 hours each week from 9:30am to 11:30am every Monday. Create art inspired by the farm and nature in an inclusive and friendly environment.

We also have support workers available to pick up and drop home clients for the program.

The program includes:

  • Interaction and education on a variety of farm plants and animals
  • Use different mediums for improving fine motor skills
  • Learning new skills
  • Meet new friends

  • An inclusive and friendly environment

Art Inspired by the Farm and Nature

Our craft sessions draw inspiration from the beautiful natural surroundings of The Davis Farm. Participants explore a range of creative mediums including painting, drawing, rock art, flower pressing, nature crafts, and more — all in a relaxed, supportive setting.

Pricing

$480 per term (8 weeks)

$80 for a casual visit

This includes:

  • ✓ Entry for you and your support worker
  • ✓ Drink (tea, coffee or cold can drink)
  • ✓ Coordinator and all equipment
  • ✓ Take home equipment

Minimum numbers need to be met for the program to go ahead.

Frequently Asked Questions

What about bathrooms?

We have a portaloo available and also a toilet inside the house for anyone with accessibility difficulties.

Is food and drink provided?

Fresh water is available, along with refreshments.

What happens if it rains?

Most times we will still go ahead under a covered seating area. If the weather is torrential we will message and advise that the program isn't on prior to 8:30am.

Is there an age limit?

There is no age limit for the program.

Do I need a support worker?

Clients are required to have a support worker with them. The Davis Farm also offers support workers that are available to pick up and drop home — please contact us for more details.

What time does the program run?

Every Monday from 9:30am to 11:30am (2 hours per session) across the 8-week term.
